About Me

Annilee Newton is a writer and composition professor at Austin Community College. She earned her MFA in Nonfiction Creative Writing from Lesley University. Selections from her thesis project Cupboard Sundries have appeared in the anthology Family Stories from the Attic published by Hidden Timber Press, The Dirty Spoon, the Sierra Nevada Review, and PenDust Radio podcast. Lately, she’s been working on Thessalonika, a novel about a college student who assumes the identity of her male classmate so she can participate on an archeological dig in 1950 Greece.
